My name is Tim Altork. I was a sports editor and senior editor for two weekly newspapers for the better part of six years before the economy and floundering newspaper industry derailed our startup in suburban Atlanta. My family of five and the modest-but-comfortable life we set up for ourselves could no longer sustain the irregular paychecks, so I bolted at the beginning of this year. We eked by on my wife's childcare gigs and my valet skills until Demand Studios accepted me as a copy editor. Thanks to Demand Studios, in just more than two months of work, our finances have stabilized, and we've gotten ourselves back on track. Working for Demand Studios also brought us to a stunning realization: The money I'm making from my bedroom office, I can make from anywhere on Earth with an Internet connection. So now, when our lease is up in June, we are planning to buy an RV and take an extended family road trip to visit all 30 major league baseball stadiums. The entire trip will be funded by Demand Studios.
