Keyword QA Overview
My name is Todd and I manage the Keyword QA stage of titling here at Demand Studios. Keyword QA is a crucially important step in the title creation process. Every title that comes through our titling system is matched up with relevant keywords to help us categorize and understand the value of any given title.
Once a title comes into Keyword QA, a freelancer (often called a Keyword QA user) sees the title, along with several keyword choices that he or she may assign to it. Using a set of guidelines we have provided, the user determines the essence or question the title is asking and chooses keywords that closely represents it.
Here is an example:
Substitutes for Dry Vermouth
-dry well
-vermouth
-substitutes
For this title, the Keyword QA user must choose which of the three choices "match" the title provided. These three choices are supplied by a revolutionary program we devised to not only read the words of a title but to understand the importance of each as it relates to the title itself. Of course, only the second one clearly represents the essence of the title so that is the one that should be chosen.
In order to ensure that quality remains high, we use a reporting system to track what our users select and, by setting up a series of thresholds, we are alerted when someone in Keyword QA performs their job suspiciously. We also employ high performing community members as Keyword QA moderators who post in the forums and blogs and take initiative to answer questions from other members and alert us to possible bugs within the system and overall title quality.
Bottom line, we are here to help and to answer any questions that may arise. We make it a point, every day, to supply our members with the tools to succeed in Keyword QA.
Happy Titling!
