In our efforts to bring our writers more promotion and exposure, we've implemented a 'Featured Contributor' module on LIVESTRONG.COM. Each month we will showcase one exceptional contributor with the goal of bringing more traffic to their articles and digital portfolio. The showcase will link out to the featured writer's Digital Portfolio as well as 3 articles of their choice.

Is this how freelance writers are judged? By how much traffic their articles get?

Is that why some writers get dismissed for no reason? =(
