Q&U: Where is your favorite place to write or edit?

My favorite spot to write is in my sitting room. It's the one room that is always clean because my two toddlers think it's boring. I have these huge, overstuffed, hideous couches that are incredibly comfortable. I love drinking a cup of hazelnut coffee and playing the Enya radio station on Pandora while writing in there. It's very sunny and has two huge windows I can stare out of while plotting out my next Topic View!

A semi-busy cafe in the Alstadt (Old City) area of Duesseldorf, Germany is my favorite spot to write. The comings and goings of the locals keep me interested, but not distracted. Music played over the cafe speakers provides ambiance while fading into the rest of the background noise. Writing in this cafe gives the whole process a fresh, almost-exotic feeling and is a fantastic break from the doldrums of working at home, day-in and day-out.

Most days I write at home in our "office" which needs some major decluttering work at the moment, but when the weather allows I love to work in the garden where I can feel the sun, hear the birds singing and be within easy reach of the coffee maker. On 1 May I'll be heading off to Italy for a week and am really looking forward to sitting in a shady corner of the villa's terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside with my netbook and a glass of chilled white wine. That's my absolute favourite place to work and way to relax!

I LOVE to write outside in the gazebo (when the weather is nice), in the sunshine with a slight breeze, listening to the sounds of the neighborhood and nature. It's the best!

My inspiration comes in the shower or while brushing my teeth. I write wherever I am whenever I get an idea. My favorite place, though, is in my big chair in my living room with a glass of Malbec or a cup of tea. When the city thaws, I like to sit at the lake and dream up ideas.

I have a workspace in my home. On the desk is my radio from when I was a child. My children put a quote on the wall, and made the area look very professional. I love it.

My fave place to write is in front of the tv...I'm hooked. I need the noise to concentrate...I think that started when I had little ones running around!

I set up a workspace in my kitchen so I could be near what I have on the stove or in the oven. I'm a foodie at heart, so I'm always taking pictures of my newest creations and writing about them.

On our patio in our backyard. Birds, the sound of water trickling over a spillway, bountiful flowers and the fresh air - being in God's nature - all inspires me!
