With the goal of helping our contributors on multiple levels, we offer a number of benefits and perks to our community.
Demand Media Studios Grant Program
Three monthly grants given to eligible contributors.
Work/Life Grant
Freelancers can encounter a variety of expenses, so we've set aside four awards of $250 to help cover anything from child care to housecleaning.
Resource Grant
We know how hard it is to work without a functioning laptop. With this grant, one contributor a month receives a Dell laptop with MS Office.
Short Film Grant
This monthly award of $1,000 helps bring a short film to life. We choose one completed script to aid contributors in getting their film projects off the ground.
All Access Program
Attend a conference of your choice – on us. We provide all-access passes to conferences and seminars to select contributors throughout the year.
DMS Book Club
Join your fellow writers and editors on Goodreads.com to discuss monthly books. Partake in polls, track what others are reading and more!
Demand Deals
Demand Deals gives active DMS contributors access to deals from some of the biggest national brands. From travel discounts to huge savings on your favorite products, gadgets, and more– the Demand Deals marketplace will help you save big all year round.
Meetups
DMS has a bustling Meetup Community! Attend events in your area and we'll even cover the tabs for select Meetups throughout the year.
Booklr
We've teamed up with Booklr, a social media and promotional platform for writers and published authors, to offer the DMS community exclusive access to their premium writer tools. All DMS creators enjoy three free months of their premium service.
