The Team
Meet the Team
The Demand Media team has one vision: to build the leading content studio for the next generation of media. Much like our thousands of freelance creators all over the country, the Demand Media staff is a team of highly skilled creative professionals with years of experience in both traditional media and Internet technology.
We also know how to rock 'n' roll. Check out our new single, "Join The Band," to get a sneak peek behind the scenes of the Demand Media offices in Austin, Texas, and Santa Monica, Calif.
We are dedicated to creating high-quality content for leading media brands, and as you can see from our credentials below, we have the team to do it.

His favorite bands include the Replacements, Uncle Tupelo, My Morning Jacket and Cat Power.
Jay Holzer, Director, Video Production
Jay joined Demand Media in June 2007. Prior to joining Demand Media, he helped launch Expert Village, where he worked with filmmakers to pioneer the model that has become the backbone for Demand Media's video production. He lives in Austin with his wife and daughter and enjoys mountain biking and watching soccer.
Jay's favorite bands are Pearl Jam, Steve Earle and the Decemberists.

Joey received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia.
As the middle child from a family of nine, Joey spends most of his time seeking attention through a range of pet projects. He is currently starting a non-profit student exchange program, composing a rap opus, writing zombie fiction and still dreaming of playing in the NBA.
Joey's favorite bands to rock out to are the Beatles, Pavement, Neutral Milk Hotel and Outkast.

Justin Parker, Lead Title Manager
Justin joined Demand Media in 2007 as a member of the video publishing team. He now helps guide the team in producing and delivering titles, as well as managing the freelance titling community. Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University. (Whoop!)
When he's not working with the titling team, he sings and plays guitar in a rock band called Life on Loan. On Saturdays, he can be found sitting on his back porch, sipping sweet tea and smoking an Oliveros Eight Zero cigar.
His favorite bands include Pink Floyd, Jars of Clay, David Bowie, Phil Keaggy, Jimi Hendrix and Yes.
Dave Jasmon, Video Publisher
Dave joined Demand Media in January 2008 and is responsible for creating and editing metadata as part of the video production team. Sarah's favorite bands include Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young and Led Zeppelin—but as the daughter of a lawyer who moonlights in a rock 'n' roll band, she's a devout follower of most rock legends.

During her free time, she enjoys cooking for friends, wine-and-cheese nights, farmers' markets and long walks with her little dog, Webster.

Prior to Demand Media, she worked for various print and online publications, including Austin Monthly, Texas Parks & Wildlife and Texas Architect. She received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
A self-proclaimed grammar maniac, Jennifer enjoys reading just about anything with words. Unlike other journalism junkies though, she does not drink coffee.
Her favorite bands include Elliott Smith, Arcade Fire and Superdrag, but she has no shame admitting she'll jam some old-school NKOTB every now and then.
